AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY ADJACENT TO CROVE
SHOPPII:G CENTER FROM B-1 TO A•-2 FOR THE DEVELOP-
MENT OF SENIOR CITIZENS HOUSING
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk. Grove
Village, sitting as a Zoning Commission, at a public meeting
duly called and held according to law, considered the question
of reclassifying certain real estate hereinafter described on
Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part hereof, from B-1 to
A-2; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and. DuPage, have con^idered
the recommendation of said Zoning Commission, and find and believe
that the highest and best use of said .real estate is thl—c of A-2;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, as follows:
Section 1: That an Ordinance entitled, AN ORDINANCE TO
REGULATE AND LIMIT THE HEIGHT AND BULK OF BUILDINGS, TO REGULATE
AND LIMIT THE INTENSITY AND USE OF LOT AREAS„ AND REGULATE AND
DETERMINE AREAS OF OPEN SPACE WITHIN AND SURROUNDING SUCI]. BUILD-
INGS; TO CLASSIFY, REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE LOCATION OF TRADES
OF INDUSTRIES AND TIIE LOCATION OF BUILDINGS'DESIGNE'%D FOR SPECIFIED
INDUSTRIAL BUSINESS, RESIDENTIAL AND OTHER USES; TO DIVIDE THE
ENTRIE VILLAGE. OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE INTO DISTRICTS FOR THE PURPOSE
OF THIS ORDINANCE, TO FIX STANDARDS TO WHICH BUILDINGS OR
STRUCTURES SHALL CONFORM; TO PROHIBIT USES, BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES
INCOMPATIBLE WITH THE CHARACTER OF SUCH DISTRICTS, RESPECTIVELY;
AND TO PREVENT ADDITIONS TO AND ALTERATIONS OR REMODELING OI'
EXISTING BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES IN SUCH A WAY AS TO AVOID 'TPE
RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS LAWFULLY IMPOSED IIEREUNDERe, AND
TO PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS IIEREOF, passed and approved
July 8, 1957, known as Ordinance No. 20, as Amended, be amended
by reclassifying the folllowing real estate described on Exhibit
A, attached hereto and made a part hereof, from B-1 to A-2.
Section 2: That said real estate, as reclassified, shall
be subject to all limitations and conditions placed upon properties
in the A-2 classification, as defined in the ordinance afore-
mentioned.
Section 3: That any person, firm or corporation who
violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with
or resists the enforcement of any provision of this ordinance
shall be fined not more than one hundred($100.00) dollars for
each offense, and each day a violation is permitted to exist
shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication,
according to law.

feet, as measured along said East line and except that part of the North
951.83, as measured along the West line, of said Southwest quarter of the
Northeast quarter, lying West of the West line of the aforementioned East
810.00 feet of said quarter -quarter section and excepting also that part
of the East 235.00 feet, as measured at right angles of said Southwest
quarter of the Northeast quarter lying south of the South line of the afore-
mentioned North 1250.00 feet of said quarter -quarter section); together with
that part of the North 390.00 feet, as measured along the East line, of the
Northwest: quarter of the Southeast quarter of said Section 32, lying West
of the West line of the East 235.00 feet, as measured at right angles of
said Northwest quarter of the Southeast quarter, all in Township 41 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
