An OPDINANCE VACATING CAROL PTr,CE AND
REPEALING ORDINANCE N0, 800
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, after due investigation and due consideration,
have deermined that the nature and extent of the public use and
the public interest to be served is such as to warrant the vacation
of Carol Place in the Village of Elk Grove Village, and further
described on Exhibit A to this ordinance, attached hereto, incopora-
ted herein, and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, Centex Corporation has petitioned for the vacation
of Carol Place;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, as follows:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 800 be and the same is hereby
repealed.
Section 2: That such portion of Carol Place located in the
Village of Elk Grove Village and legally described hereinafter on
Exhibit A, attached hereto and incoporated herein, shall be and the
same is hereby vacated, closed, inasmuch as.said street is no longer
required for public use, and the public interest be best served by
such vacation.
Section 3: Be if further ordained that the Village Clerk be
and is hereby directed to file for record in the Office of Recorder
of Deeds of Cook County, Illiois a certified copy of this ordinance
with an accompanying plat of vacation.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval, according to law.

EXHIBIT "A"
That part of Carol Place as dedicated in Elk Grove Village Section
1 North, Being a subdivision in the Southeast 4 of Section 21,
Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
lying Southerly of the Southerly line of Lot 1, lying westerly of
the westerly line of Lot 20, lying northerly of the northerly line
of Oakwood Drive and lying Easterly of a line 50.0 feet easterly of
the center line of Arlington Heights Road, all in Elk Grove Village
Section 1 North aforesaid, in Cook County, Illinois.
