AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE
SOUTHWEST CORNER OF HOWARD STREET AND ROUTE 83
(BUSSE ROAD) FROM 14-1 TO B-1
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village
sitting as a Zoning Commission, at a public meeting duly called and
held according to law, considered the question of reclassifying certain
real estate hereinafter described on Exhibit A , attached hereto, and
made a part hereof, from M-1 to B-1; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, have considered the
recommendation of said Zoning Commission, and find and believe that
the highest and best use of said real estate is that of B-1;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of.
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That an ordinance entitled, AN ORDINANCE TO
REGULATE AND LIMIT THE HEIGHT AND BULK OF BUILDINGS, TO REGULATE
AND LIMIT THE INTENSITY AND USE OF LOT AREAS, AND REGULATE AND
DETERMINE AREAS OF OPEN SPACE WITHIN AND SURROUNDING SUCH BUILDINGS;
TO CLASSIFY, REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE LOCATION OF TRADES, OF
INDUSTRIES, AND THE LOCATION OF BUILDINGS DESIGNED FOR SPECIFIED
INDUSTRIAL BUSINESS, RESIDENTIAL AND OTHER USES; TO DIVIDE THE
ENTIRE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE INTO DISTRICTS FOR THE PURPOSE
OF THIS ORDINANCE, TO FIX STANDARDS TO WHICH BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES
SHALL CONFORM; TO PROHIBIT USES, BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES INCOMPATIBLE
WITH THE CHARACTER OF SUCH DISTRICTS, RESPECTIVELY, AND TO PREVENT
ADDITIONS TO AND ALTERATIONS OR P.,EdODELING OF EXISTING BUILDINGS OR
STRUCTURES IN SUCH A WAY AS TO AVOID THE RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS

HEREOF, passed and approved July 8, 1957, known as Ordinance No.
20, as amended, be amended further by reclassifying the real
estate hereafter described on Exhibit A, attached hereto, and
made a part hereof, from M-1 to B-1.
Section 2: That said real estate, as reclassified, shall
be subject to all limitations and conditions placed upon properties
in the B-1 classification, as defined in the ordinance aforementioned.
Section 3: That any person, firm or corporation who violates,
disobeys, omits, neglects, or refuses to comply with or resist the
enforcement of any provision of this ordinance shall be finrd not more
than $100.00 for each offense, and each day a violation is permitted
to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from'and after its passage, approval, and publication, ac-
cording to law.

Legal Description
That part of the Northeast quarter of Sect 1on 27, Towns h)p 41 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at the southwest'
corner of Howard Street ,nd State Route 83 and running thence west along the south
line of Howard Street 94.35 feet to a point on said south line of Howard Street
854.08 feet east of the northeast corner of Lot 135 in Higgins Industrial Park
Unit 91, being a subdivision in said northeast quarter of Section 27; thence
south at right angles to the south line of Howard Street, a distance of 231.99 feet
to a point on the north line of the right of way.of the Chicago District Pipeline
Company 854.08 feet east of the southeast corner of Lot 135 aforesaid; thence east
along said right of way line 945.71 feet to the west line of said State Route 83;
thence north along said gest line 232.00 feet to the place of beginning, in Cook
County, Illinois.
The above Iegal description is equivalent to lot 147 in Higgins Industrial Park
Unit 100; being a subdivision in the Northeast,quarter of.Section 27, Township
