HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 773 - 12/28/1971 - VACATION OF DEVON AVEORDINANCE NO, 773 AN ORDINANCE VACATING PART OF DEVON AVENUE WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after due investigation and due consideration, have determined that the nature and extent of the public use and the public interest to be subserved is such as to warrant the vacation of part of Devon Avenue in the Village of Elk Grove Village, and further described in this ordinance, and WHEREAS, has petitioned for the vacation of part of Devon Avenue; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, as follows: Section 1: That such portion of Devon Avenue in the Village of Elk Grove Village as is hereinafter described shall be and the same is hereby vacated and closed, inasmuch as said street is no longer required for the public use and the public interest would be best served by such vacation: That part of the South 50.0 ft of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 36, Township 41 North, Range 10, East of the Third Prircipal meridian; also That part of the South 50.0' of the West 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of Section 36, Township 41 North, Range 10, East of the Third Principal Meridian; also That part of the South 50.0 ft,(except the East 33.0 Ft. thereof) of the East 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of Section 36, Township 41 North, Range 10 East of the Third Principal Meridian, all in Cook County, Illinois. -1- Section 2: Be it further ordained that the Village Clerk be and is hereby directed to file for record in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a certified copy of this ordinance with an accompanying plat of vacation. Section 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval, according to law. PASSED AND APPROVED this 28th 1971. ATTEST: Richard A.
