AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 22.1111
RELATING TO TAXI FARES
WHEREAS, the operator of taxicabs in,the Village of Elk
Grove Village has indicated his inability to continue service
unless appropriate rate adjustments are made to permit him to
pay increased salaries to his drivers; and
WHEREAS, the continuance of said service is necessary and
to the benefit of the Village, and it was therefore, after public
hearing, to which there was no objection, determined to be in the
best interests of the Village that a rate adjustment be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and the
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties
of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1: That that portion of Section 22.1111reading
as follows:
"The charge for taxicab service shall not
exceed 45C for the first 2/5 mile or portion
thereof, and 10� for each mile succeeding 1/5
mile or fraction thereof,"
be amended to read as follows:
"The charge for taxicab service shall not
exceed 45C for the first 2/5 mile or portion
thereof, and 10C for each mile succeeding 1/6
mile or fraction thereof,"
Section 2: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication
according to law.
