AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE
PERMIT FOR RAIL SERVICE ON PROPERLY
ZONED M-1 AND OWNED BY TRAMMEL CROW COMPANY
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE President and the
Board of Trustees, of the Village of Elk.Grove Village, Counties
of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1: That the Zoning Ordinances of the Village of
Elk Grove Village, zoning property legally described as follows:
That part of Section 3, Township 40 North, Range 11
East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as
follows:
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 1 in Elk Grove
Industrial Park Unit 1, being a subdivision in said
section 3 (the North line of said Lot 1 having a bearing
of South 90000100" West for the purposes of this
description); thence South 01031' 20" West on the West
line of said Lot 1 and said West line extended 1667.30
feet to a point of curve; thence Southeasterly on a
curve concave Northeasterly and having a radius of
358.30 feet, 572.30 feet, (the chord of said curve
having a bearing of South 44014120" East); thence
North 90000100" East on a line tangent to the last
described curve 2180.18 feet; thence North 01042'10"
East 50.00 feet; thence North 90000'00" West 2160.52
feet, thence North 44o14'20" West 471.225 feet; thence
North 01031120" East 1647.51 feet to a point on the
North line of said Lot 1,50 feet East of the Northwest
corner of said Lot 1; thence West on the North line of
said Lot 1, 50 feet to the point of beginning, all in
DuPage County, Illinois,
M-1, be amended so as to permit the issuance of a special use permit
allowing for Rail usage on the property described above; provided
however, that said rail be no closer than 650 feet from any area used
for residential purposes.
Section 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 13th day of October, 1970.
