Section 1.: That Section 11.20! (amended.) of the Wi.cipQ Code of the Village

of Elk Grove Village be further amended to read as follows: +.
11.204 (amended) Specifications) Driveways across sidewalks shall be constructed
in compliance with the following;
A. Driveways for Residential Property:
1. Driveyays for residential property shall be constructed of either
Portland. Cement Concrete or a two (2") inch asphalt surface.
2. Aprons (thea area between the property line and c nbing) shall be
constructed of Portland Cement Concrete, consistin! of six (6) begs
of cement per cubic yard of concrete.
3. Construction of Portland Cement Concrete shall hair a thickness of not
less than five (50 inches of concrete and contain a #10 mesh wire.
4. Construction of asphalt shall have a two 2 inch this'_: surface and
the thickness of the gravel or crushed stone base shall be seven (71
inches.
5. Maximum width

line shall be twenty

6. Maximum width of the driveway at the curb shall be twenty six (261) feet.
7. All aprons shall have a minimum two (2') foot and a maximum three (3')
foot flare at the curb on each side Of the driveway extending from the
property line.
8. The subgrade shall ba temped or rolled until thoroughly compacted and
shall be constructed true to grade. The apron shall be laid u_ron a

Fills where recuired must be compacted solidly. b':aterials for fills

B. Driveways for Industrial and Ccrmcrnial Areas;
1. Driveways shall be constructed of either Portland Cc.ae& Concrete or
an asphalt curfaue.
2. Aprons (that area between the property line and curbing) shall be
constructed of•Fortland Cement Concrete.
a. All aprons shall be eight (0) inches thick and the thickness of
the gravel or crushed stone base shall be eight (S") inches and

b. The concrete shall be a six bag mixture.
c. The apron shell contain y;o mesh wire.
d. Aprons shall be poured in eight (£3") inch foxes from the property
line to the curb.
e. All aprons shall love. a minimum five (5') foot flare at the curb
on each side of the driveway extending from the property line.
f. The apron flare shall not extend over the side property line.
3. Maximum width of d-riveyny to other than loadi.n do_k areas shall
be thirty-five (351 feet at the property line and shall be forty-five
(450 feet at the curb line.
4. (amended) The miniman width of a driveway shall be twenty (20') feet
at the property line with an apron constructed as :bone which would make
it thirty (300feet at the curb Line respectively.
5. The width of driveway to a multiple loadin, dock area shall be the width
of each loading dock plus one (1') foot on each side, with a max_mun of
sixty-two (62') feet and an apron constructed as above.
6. All r::nholes emistirg in driveways shall be formed bon -shape with e inch
expansion Joints.
7. All. WIYEe .pater valves that e.:i:t in Vath of driveways shall be encased
in a concrete vault.
8. Drive�ays shall, not be constructed within thirty (30') feet of any inter-
section.
9. Driveways shall not be constructed within ten (10 feet of a fire hydrant.
C. Specifications for Curb - Industrial and Connercial Areas:
