AN,ORDINANCE PERMITTING OFFICE BUILDINGS
IN THE M-1 AND M-2 ZONING DISTRICTS
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, sitting as a Zoning Commission at a public meeting duly
called and held according to law, considered the question of
amending the text of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance so
as to permit office building in the M-1 and M-2 business district;
and
WHEREAS, said Plan Commission recommended that an ordinance
to the foregoing effect be passed, provided adequate parking
space were required in conjunction with the office building use;
and
WHEREAS, THE President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village believe it to be in the best interests of
the Village that an Ordinance changing the text of the Zoning
Ordinance be passed, in accordance with the proposed text change
reccmmended by the Plan Commission acting as a Zoning Conmission;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage
Counties, Illinois:
Section J: That Section 2, Article XII of the Elk Grove
Zoning Ordinance in force as of the date hereof be amended by
adding thereto to the list of permitted uses the following:
"An office building, provided space for parking of motor
vehicles is provided in a ratio of one parking stall for
each 200 sq. ft. of floor area of the office building,
said parking stall to be locate;'[ on the same lot or plot
of groT-.nd on which the building is located."
Section 2: That Section 5 ct Article XII, relating to
parking regulations be amended by adding thereto the following:
A
"That the foregoing parking regulation shall not
apply to office buildings,whose parking area shall
be governed as provided in Section 2 above."
Section -3: This Ordinance shall take precedence
over any other regulation in force which makes provisions in-
consistent with the language herein contained.
Section 4: Any person, firm or corporation who violates,
disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or resists
the enforcement of any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall
be fined not more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each
offense, and each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall
constitute a separate offense.
Section 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication,
according to law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 1+ day of December, 1970,
