ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE ANNEY>ING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO
TIIE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village Clerk
of the Village of Elk Grove Village by the Elk Grove Village Veterans
Club, Inc., and another written petition filed with the Village Clerk
by Cori<monwelai:h Edison Company, being the sole record owners of the
hereinafter described land and territory for annexation to the Village
Of Elk Grove Village except as to that part of Ridge Avenue described
hereinafter_; and
WJIEREAS, there are no electors residing on said property; and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not, within the corporate li.mit:;
of any municipality but is --contiguous to the Village of Ell, Grove Village
and has no electors residing thereon and is eligible for annexation; and
WHEREAS, said petitioners are under oath and in all respects comply with
the requirements of the Statutes in such cases made and provided; and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the boundaries of
any rural fire protection district; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, have examined
said petitions and believe it to be to the best interest of the said
Village that all land and territory hereinafter described be annexed
to the Village of Elk Grove Village:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
Of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1: That all land and territory described in said petition,to-wJI.

That part of Lots 4, 5 and 6 in William Lumpp's Devon Avenue Farms,
a subdivision in the South Quarter of Section 33, Township 41 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, Cook County, Illinois
described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast Corner of said Lot
6; thence West along the North line of said Lots 4, 5 and 6 to a point
which is 35.2 feet East of the Northwest corner of said Lot 4; thence
Southwesterly along a diagonal line a distance of 617.51. feet to the
Southwest corner of said Lot 4; thence East along the South line of said
Lot 4 and 5, 210.07 feet to a point which is 49.93 feet West of the South-
east corner of said Lot 5 and 210 feet Easterly of (Measured at right
angles to the afore said diagonal line); thence Northeasterly along a line
210 feet easterly of (Measured at right angles to and parallel with
the aforesaid diagonal line) a distance of 407.36 feet to a point which
is 210 feet South of (Measured perpendicularly to) the North line of
said Lot 5; thence East along a line 210 feet South of (Measured perpendi-
cularly to) and parallel with the North Line of Said Lots 5 and 6, a distance
of 156.73 feet to the Last line of said Lot 6; thence North along the East.
line of said Lot 6 to the point of beginning.
ALSO
The North 210 feet (Measured perpendicularly) of Lots 7 thru 23, both
inclusive, in William Lumpp's Devon Avenue Farms Subdivision of part of
the South Quarter of Section 33', Township 41. North, Range 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
ALSO
That part of Lots 24, 25, 26 and 27 in William Lumpp's Devon Avenue Farms,
being a subdivision in the South Quarter of Section 33, Township 41 North,
Range 1-1, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois,
recorded September 26, 1944, as Document Number 13364273, lying North of
the Following described lines: Beginning at a point in the West line of
said Lot 24 which is a distance of 210 feet South of (Measured at right
angles to) the North Line of said subdivision; thence East along a line
210 feet South of (Measured at right angles to) and parallel with the North
line of said subdivision a distance of 232.40 feet to an angle point;
thence Northeasterly a distance of 580.53 feet to the Northeast Corner of said
Lot 27.
ALSO
Lot 18 (Except the North 210 feet thereof) in William Lumpp's Devon Avenue
Farms Subdivision of part of the South Quarter of Section 33, Township 41
North, Range 3.1, East of the Third Principal Meridian.
ALSO
The North 210.00 feet of Ridge Avenue, as dedicated in William Lunipp's
Devon Avenue Farms Subdivision of Part of the South Quarter. of Section
33, Township 41 North, Range 1.3, Last of the Third Principal Meridian in
Cook County, Illinois.
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village, is not
within the limits of any municipality, contains no electors and is not
presently in any incorporated municipality, be and the same is hereby
annexed to the Village of Elk Grove Village so that hereafter said territory
shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village, as
is by law in such case made and provided.
Section ,2: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Villacca
is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this Ordinance together
with an an2urate plat of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook
County, Illinois.
Section; 3: That this ordinance shall he in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law.
