ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE,VILLAGE BY ADDING THERETO
ARTICLE V - PRIVATE PARKING LOTS
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Chapter 11 of the Municipal Code of the Village
of Elk Grove Village be amended by adding thereto Article V as
follows:
"Article V. Private Parking Lots
11.501 All private parking lots located in areas zoned
under the business or industrial classification shall be
paved with asphalt or concrete paving and so constructed
that surface drainage writer emanating from same shall not
flood nearby streets and public rights of way. The Building
Department shall not issue a Certificate of Occupancy to
any premises unless provision is made for the foregoing.
11.502 Penalty.) Any parson, firm or corporation who
occupies or owns premises and fails to provide for the
paving of same as provided for in this Article and who
occupies same or who permits the occupancy of same without
providing for the paving of said areas as provided for
in Section 11.501 above shall be fined not less than
$5.00 nor more $200.00 for each offence and a separate
offense shall he deemed committed on each day during
which a violation occurs or continues to occur."
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
as provided for by law.
