of the Village of Elk Grove VillaZe, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. That the
Patrolmen and Cadets
of Elk Grove Village
follows:

No person presently employed shall receive two (2) experience pay increases
within one rank in any twelve (12) month period, except upon specific
authorization by the President and Board of Trustees.
Section 2. The starting salary of new patrolmen shall be
determined by the Fire and Police Commission in consideration
of the candidates' prior police or equivalent experience,
qualifications, education and suitability for the position.
However, starting salary shall not exceed $721 per month,
except in instances when, in the judgment of the Fire and
Police Commission, a candidate is exceptionally well
qualified.
Section 3. Within ten (10) days from passage of this ordinance,
or at the time of hiring a new policeman, the Fire and Police
Commission of the Village shall ascertain and verify a
policeman's prior police experience, if any. Police experience
shall be computed to the nearest month. Periods of fifteen (15)
days or less, shall be disregarded. Periods of more than
fifteen (1.5) days, shall be computed as a full month's experience.
Upon ascertainment of a policeman's experience, the Secretary
of the Fire and Police Conanission s`:all transmit to the
Village Treasurer the following information:
A. Name of the policeman.
B. Effective date of employment with the Village
of Elk Grove Village Police Department.
C. Salary anniversary date.

Section 5. This ordinance shall. be in full effect and
according to lar provided, hornver, experience pay increases
