PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES RELATING 1'O
PBCULNTIONS
NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINLD by the president and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
Du Page, Illinois:
Section lam: That there be added, to the Municipal Code of Elk
Grove Village, penalty provisions relating to library regulations as set
forth herein to read as follows:
23.1001 Penalty Provisions.
to Any person or persons who shall fail to return any
book belonging to the Elk Grove Village Public Library,
according to the requirements duly made and adopted by
the directors of said library, shall be fined not less
than one dollar ($1.00) nor more than ten. dollars ($.10000)
for each offense,
2. Any person or persons who shall wilfully or maliciously
cut, write upon, injure, deface, tear or destroy any book,
newspaper, plate, picture, engraving or other thing of value
belonging to the Elk Grove Village Public Librat:y, or under
its control., shall be fined net less than five dollars
(55.00) nor more than fifty dollars 050.00) for each such
offense.
3. Any person or persons who shall wilfully or malicously
commit any injury upon, or to the Elk Grove Village Public
Library, or upon or to the bunds, buildings, furniture,
fixtures, or other property thereof., under the control of
and used by the Elk Grove Village Public Library, shall
be fined not less than ten dollars ($10,00) nor more than
two hundred dollars ($200000) for each offense.
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to '
law.
