AN ORDINANCE CREATING A DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees, Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. That the Municipal Code of Elk Grove Village be and
is hereby amended to add thereto Chapter 6-A entitled "Department
of Finance" which shall read as follows:
"CHAPTER 6 A
DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE
"6.101 A Creation.) There is created a Department of Finance,
an executive department of the Village to function under the
direction and supervision of the Village Manager.
116.102 A. It shall be the duty of the officers and employees of
the Department of Finance to:
a. Bill, receive and deposit all warrants, funds, monies,
fees or other revenues due the Village.
b. Disburse and pay all warrants, funds, monies, or other
payments expended by the Village.
C. Keep accurate records and accounts of all fiscal trans-
actions.
d. Report on all fiscal transactions, on the status of
revenues, funds, investment and expenditures and such
other fiscal and monetary affairs. Such reports to be
legible, accurate and in accordance with modern financial
practices.
As to all matters of fiscal administration and management,
the requirements of State Statutes and. Village ordinances
shall be observed and in the absence of such, modern
budgetary, accounting, disbursement, and treasury practices
shall be observed."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law.
