AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 587
AND ABATING TMES
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village did on
December 17, 1968 pass and adopt Ordinance No. 587, an ordinance
providing for the borrowing of money and the issuing of bonds
by the Village of Elk Grove Village in the amount of $1.50,000.00
for municipal garage and improvements, which ordinance does, in
effect, levy taxes to pay the principal and interest on said
bonds and direct the County Clerk to extend said taxes upon
its books and records so that they may be collected, and
WHEREAS, a certified
filed with Che County Clerk of
Illinois, so that the tax levy
so collected, and
copy of said ordinance was duly
Cook County and Du Page County,
could be extended and the taxes
WHEREAS, the Village deems it advisable to delay
construction of the improvements contemplated by said Ordinance
No. 587 and delay the issuance of bonds to pay for said im-
provements, and
WHEREAS, it; is deemed to the public interest that the
taxes levied and arranged for collection by Ordinance No. 587
be abated.
NOW, TAEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees, Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of -
Cook and Du Page, Illinois.
Section 1_: That Ordinance No. 587 entitled "An
Ordinance providing for the borrowing of money and the issuing
of bonds by the Village of Elk Grove Village, in the amount of
$150,000.00 for municipal garage and improvements" be and is
hereby repealed.
Section 2: That the County Clerk of Cook County and
the County Clerk of Du Page County, Illinois are hereby authorized
and directed to abate the taxes levied by said Ordinance No. 587
for the years and amounts as set forth below, which are as pro-
vided by Ordinance No. 587.

and that said County Clerk of Cook County and Du Page County,
Illinois be authorized and directed not to spread said taxes
and to abate said taxes and to take all steps necessary to
accomplish same.
Section 3: That forthwith. the Village Clerk deliver
a certified copy of this ordinance to the County Clerk of Cook
County and Du Page County,, Illinois so as to accomplish its
intent.
Section 4: This Ordinance shall be in full. force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according
to law.
