ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE CODIFYING THE SALARY OF
THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND TRUSTEES
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees, Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of
Cook and Du Page, Illinois.
Section 1: That there is hereby added to the Municipal
Code of Elk Grove Village the following:
(2,108 Salary -Village President
As heretofore established, the salary of the Village
President, for the term commencing in the year 1969,
shall be $2,400.00 per year payable in twelve (12)
equal installments. Salary for the Village President
for terms previous to the year 1969 shall be $25.00
for each regular, adjourned or special meeting, of the
President and Board of Trustees, attended by him,
provided however, he shall not be compensated for more
than one (1) meeting per week nor shall he receive
compensation for more than four (4) meetings in any
one (1) calendar month.
Section 2: That Section 2.102 of the Municipal Code of
Elk Grove Village be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
(2.102 Oath -Salary
The members of the Board of Trustees shall take the.oath
of office as prescribed by statute and shall receive the
following compensation:
Salaries of Trustees whose term of office shall commence
during the year 1969 shall be $25.00 for each regular,
adjourned or special meeting, of the President and Board
of Trustees, attended, provided however, that he shall
not be paid for more than one (1) meeting in any week.
In the event of absence due to illness of the Trustee
or a member of his family or a death of a Trustee or
member of the immediate family or like cause he shall
receive compensation though not attending, provided
however, he shall not receive more than two (2) such

payments for meetings not attended during any year.

For Trustees whose term of office shall have commenced
before 1969, each Trustee shall receive $15.00 for each
regular, adjourned or special meeting, of the President
and Board of Trustees, attended by him, provided however,
that he shall not be compensated for more than one (1)
meeting per week, nor shall he receive compensation for
more than four (4) meetings in any one (1) calendar
month.
Section 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and according to law.
