OF TONNEORDINANCE NO. 5 / AN ORDINANCE RE -ZONING 20 ACRES ON THE NOR -TA SIDE OF DEVOM AVENUE,APPROXIMATIELY 590 FEET EAS'i" OF TONNE MAD WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, sitting as a Zoning Commission at a public - meeting duly called and held according to law considered the question of re-classifying the real estate hereinafter des- cribed from R-1 to M-1; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, having considered the recom- mendation of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and beli.c,,-e that the highest and best use of said real estate is that of NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and. Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and Du Page Counties, Illinois: Section 1: That an ordinance entitled "An Ordinance to Regulate and Limit the Height and Bulk of Buildings; to re- gulate and Limit the Intensity of the Use of Lot Areas, and to Regulate and Determine the Areas of Open Space Within and Surrounding Such Buildings; to Classify, Regulate and Restrict the Location of Trades and Industries and the Location of Buildings Designed for Specified Industrial Business, Residential and other uses; to Divide the Entire Village of Elk Grove Village into Districts for. the Purpose of. this Ordinance; to Fix Standards to which Buildings or Structures shall Conform; to Prohibit Uses, buildings or structures Incompatible with the Character. of Such Districts Respectively; and to Prevent Additions to and Alterations or Remodeling of Existing Buildings or Structures in Such a Way as to Avoid the Restrictions and Limitations Lawfully Imposed Hereunder, and to Provide Penalties for Violation hereof", passed and approved July 8, 1957 known as Ordinance No. 20, as amended, be amended by reclassifying the following described real estate from R-1 to M-1 (LEGAL) That part of the South half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 34, described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner of said Section; thence East along the Township line 590.1.5 feet for the point of beginning; thence North and parallel with the West line of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said -1- section, 1,332.23 feet: to the North line of the South halt of the Southwest: Quarter of Section 34; thence. East along said North line, G74.80 feet; thence South and parallel with Went lime at the Southwest Quar.ler of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 34, 1,332.11 feet to the Township line; thence Pest along sail 'township line HIM feet to the point: of beginning, all in section 311, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Thi -rd Principal Meridian, in cook county, Illinois. Section 2_: That said real_ estate as reclassified shall. he subject to all the limitations and conditions placed upon properties in the M--1 classification as defined in the ordinances aforementioned. Section 3: That any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, r_eglccts or refused to conV3y with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not more than One hundred ($100) Dollars for each offense, and each day that a violation is permitted to exist: shall constitute a separate. offense.
