AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23, ARTICLE IX
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK
GROVE VILLAGE RELATING TO FIRE LANES
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties
of Cook and Du Page, Illinois:
Section 1: That Chapter 23, Article IX Fire Lanes,
Section 23.903 of the Municipal Code of the Village of
Elk Grove Village be amended by adding the following:
D. All paved areas within 21 feet of any
curb at the Elk Grove High School at Arlington
Heights Road and Elk Grove Boulevard (curbs which
form a part of a parking divider or separater
island shall not be considered as such for purposes
hereof).
E. Charing Cross Road between Elk Grove Boulevard
and Lions Park.
Section 2: 23.904. It shall be unlawful for any
person to block or obstruct wholly or partly any of the
above designated and posted fire lanes.
Section 3: 23.905. Any person violating any provisions
of this article shall be fined not less than Ten ($10.00)
Dollars nor more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars for
each offense.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to law.
