AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE'S
ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO PROPERTY CONSISTING OF
TWO PARCELS OF PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF HIGGINS ROAD
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, sitting as a Zoning Commission at a public hearing
duly called and held according to law as Docket No,
on August 31 , 1967, considered the question of
reclassifying the real estate hereinafter described from
M-1 Light Industrial District to B-1 Business District
AND WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, having considered the recom-
mendation of said Plan Commission, find and believe that the
highest and best use of said real estate is that of
B-1 Business District
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of
Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. That an ordinance entitled "Arn,Ordinance to
Regulate and Limit the Height and Bulk of Buildings; to
Regulate and Limit the Intensity of the Use of Lot Areas,
and to Regulate and Determine the Areas of Open Space Within
and Surroundig Such Buildings; to Classify, Regulate and
Restrict the Location of Tr4des and Industries and the Loca-
tion of Buildings Designed or Specified Industrial Business,
Residential #nd other u0es; to Divide the Entite Village of
Elk Gtove Villa e into Districts for the purpose of this
Ordinance; to #x Standards to Whig Buildings or Strulctures
shall Conform; to Prohibit Uses, buiidings or structutes
Incompatible with the Character of Such Districts Respectively;
and to Prevent Additions to and Alterations or Remodeling of
Existing Buildings or Structures in Such a Way as to Avoid the
Restrictions and Limitations Lawfully Imposed Hereunder, and
to Provide Penalties for Violation hereof," passed and approved
July 8, 1957, known as Ordinance No. 20, as amended, be
amended by reclassifying the following described real estate
from the M-1 Light Industrial District.

That part of Lot 4 in Arthur B. Scharringhausen's resub-
division of parts of Sections 21 and 22, Township 41 North,
Range 11, East of the 'Third Principal Meridian, described
as follows: Commencing at a point on the West line of
Gordon Street as dedicated in Higgins Road Commercial Sub-
division Unit No. 21, being a subdivision in Section 21,
Township 41 North, Range Ili East of the Third Principal
Meridian,in Cook County, Illinois, 316.30 feet North of
the South line of Lot 4 in said Arthur B. Schartinghausen's
resubdivision; thence West at right angles to the last
described line+ a distance of 460.00 feet for a place of
beginning of this description; thence continuing West along
the last described line# a distance of 125.13 feet; thence
North at right angles to the last described line, a distance
of 125.0 feet; thence East at right angles to the last
described line, a distance of 125.13 feet; thence South
at right angles to the last described line, a distance
of 125.0 feet to the place of beginning, all in Cook County,
Illinois.
ALSO
That part of Lot 4 in Arthur B. Scharringhausen's resub-
division of parts of Sections 21 and 22, Township 41 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, described
as follows: Commencing at a point on the West line of
Gordon Street as dedicated in Higgins Road Commercial Sub-
division Unit No. 21, being a subdivision in Section 21,
Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian,in Cook County, Illinois, 251.30 feet North of
the South line of Lot 4 in said Arthur B. Scharringhausen's
resubdivision; thence West at right angles to the last
described line, a distance of 119.16 feet; thence North
at right angles to the last described line of 65.0 feet;
thence East at right angles to the last described line
119.16 feet to the West line of Gordon Street as dedicated
in said Higgins Road Commercial Unit No. 21; thence South
along said West line of Gordon Street, 65.0 feet to the
place of beginning, all in Cook County, Illinois.

Section 2. That said real estate as reclassified shall be
subject to all the limitations and conditions placed upon
properties in the B-1 Business District
as defined in the ordinances aforementioned.
Section 3. That any person, firm or corporation who violates,
disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who
resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall be fined not more than One Hundred ($100.00)
Dollars for each offense, and each day that a violation is
permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
