AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CLOSED TELEVISION
INSPECTION OF SEWER MAINS IN CERTAIN CASES
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village,
Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois:
Section 1: That Section 22A104 of the Municipal Code
of the Village of Elk Grove Village be supplemented by adding
thereto the following:
"Where soil conditions are unsound and not
sufficient to maintain sewer mains, including
sanitary and storm water, in the position
laid or where sewer mains are immersed in
water, inspection by closed circuit television
shall be required prior to approval and
acceptance of same by the Village. All costs
for said inspection shall be paid by the
developer. The Village Engineer shall deter-
mine the necessity for said type of inspection
in view of the above criteria and evaluate
the reports and photographs obtained thereby..
If said photographs and evidence show the
sewer main to be free from engineering defect
and foreign substance and show that it meets
all other approved engineering standards,
the Village Engineer shall approve the mains
for acceptance by the Village. If not, he
shall direct such remedial activity as is
necessary to be done prior to the acceptance
of said mains. All photographs and reports
obtained as a result of said inspection shall
be the property of the Village of Elk Grove
Village."

Section 2: This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
