AN ORDINANCE 41ENDING SECTION 8.005 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE PROVIDING FOR
TIIE INSTALLATION OF CAST-IRON WATER MAINS
NOW, ThEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage,
Illinois:
Section 1. That Section 8.005 of the Municipal Code of the Village
c E- 1� k Grove Village dealing with water supply page 55A be amended
by adding thereto the following:
"INSTALLATION OF CAST-IRON WATER TMAINS-Specifications of Cast -Iron Pipe:
All pipe and fittings shall be capable of withstanding an internal
working pressure of 150 pounds per square inch pipe be designed for
a cover of S 1/2 feet. All pipe shall have a modified cement mortar
lining to conforming Federal specifications W -11-P 421C (1967 edition)
and American Standards Association specifications A21.4 (1964 edition).
All rubber gaskets shall be lead tipped. The Pipe and fittings shall
conform to American Standards Associations specifications A21.6
A1*1A-C106 (1962 edition) Class 22 pipe. Three copies of the aforementioned
specifications are and have been available at the office of Village Clerk
in accordance with State law."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect frau and
teams r its passage, approval and publication according to law.
