HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 457 - 2/28/1967 - SPECIAL USE/EG HIGH SCHOOLl��— NO, � AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE'S ZONING ORDINANCE BY AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT PERMITTING PORTABLE, RELOCATABLE SCHOOL BUILDINGS TO BE PLACED ON ELK GROVE HIGH SCHOOL SITE, WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, sitting as a Zoning Commission did conduct a public hearing to consider the question of granting a special use permit to the Board of Junior College District No. 512 and the Board of Education of Township High School District No. 214 as owner, to place on the Elk Grove High School .site portable, relocatable buildings for the use of the Junior College District No. 512; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village having considered the statements and representations of counsel for the Board of Junior College District No. 512 who has leased the premises from said High School District and plans to operate school business from said buildings on a temporary basis; and WHEREAS, the evidence would indicate that such temporary use should not exceed September 1, 1970; and WHEREAS, it is beneficial to the Village that a Junior College education be afforded to its citizenry and that the granting of said special use permit will make this possible at an earlier time. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois: Section 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village as amended to date hereof be further amended so as to permit a special use of the Elk Grove High School site and that portion thereof which lies westerly of the west parking lot and easterly of Salt Creek to be used by the Board of Junior College District No. 512 as lessee for the location thereon of portable,relocatable school buildings built in accordance with the building laws of the Village and other sanitary codes for school purposes; said special use permit, however, shall have no further force and effect after September 1, 1970, at which time all said premises shall be removed. W. Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not more than One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars for each offense, and each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law. PASSED and APPROVED this,,?V� day Attest: KA Village Cle 967.
