AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.001, CHAPTER 5 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE RELATINd TO THE AUTHORIZED
NOW, IMEREt'ORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of
Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. That Section 5.001 of Chapter 5, Police Department,
of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village, be
and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"5.001 Creation.) There is hereby created a Police Department,
an executive department of the Village. The Police Department
shall consist of the Chief of Police, who shall be a superin-
tendent of police, five (5) sergeants and seventeen (17)
patrolmen, and such other members as may be provided from time
to time by the President and Board of Trustees."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
