AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE NUMBER OF
SERGEANTS A0 PATROLMEN TO 5 and 16
RESPECTIVELY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES, VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, COUNTY OF COOK AND DU PAGE:
SECTION 1: That Section 5.001 of the Municipal Code of the
Village of Elk Grove Village be and is hereby amended as follows:
"5.001 Creation. There is hereby created a Police
Department, an executive department of the Village.
The Police Department shall consist of the Chief of
Police, who shall be a superintendent of police, five
sergeants and sixteen patrolmen, and such other members
as may be provided from time to time by the President
and Board of Trustees".
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage according to law.
