AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF' ELK GROVE VILLAGE RELATING
TO SIGNS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE Ii ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. That the last sentence of Paragraph (R) of Section 12.002
of the Municipal Code of Elk Grove Village be amended to read as follows:
"All sides of a multiple faced sign structure shall be used
in computing total surface area except where specific provision
is made to the contrary."
Section 2. That Sub -Paragraph 2 (c) of Paragraph (B) of Section
12.003 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be amended
to read as follows:
"(c) Does not exceed 192 sq. ft. in area where the sign is
multi -faced and 96 sq. ft. in area where the sign is single faced."
Section 3. That Sub -Paragraph 4 (a) of Paragraph (C) of Section
12.003 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"(a) No standard sign shall exceed 96 sq. ft. in area for
single faced signs nor 192 sq. ft. in the case of multi -faced signs."
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
