AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 229 SECTION 22.1502 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE RELATING Ill THF LICF,rNSING OF SCAVENdRS
NOW, THFREF�-PE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Hoard of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois:
Section 1. That Section 22.1502 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk
Grove Village be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
1122.1502 Limiting the number of licenses to be issued.) The number of
scavenger licenses to be issued shall be limited to five (5) in number.
One of said number shall be for scavenger service for the entire Village,
the remaining four licenses shall be limited to scavenger service in
the industrially and commercially zoned areas of the Village, and churches
and schools. The Village Clerk shall designate the character of the license
on the licensing document itself. Said licenses shall create no vested
interest in the licensee and may be renewed or revoked at the discretion
of the President and Board of Trustees at the end of any licensing period
with or without cause. The licensing period for a scavenger license
shall commence on May let and end on April 30th of each year."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval, and publication according to law.
