CORNER RT 83/DEVONORDINANCE N0. 357 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 9.13 ACRES OF PROPERTY AT THE NORM -EAST CORNER OF STATE ROUTE 83 AND DEVON AVENUE TO THE VILLAGE OF,'ELK GROVE VILLAGE WHEREAS, property legally described as follows: The South half of the Southwest quarter of Section 35, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, (except the East 60 acres there- of and except that part lying North of a Line 826.16 feet North of and parallel to the North Line of Devon Avenue and except that part described as follows: Commencing at a point of intersection of the Wast line of said Southwest Quarter of Section 35, and the South line of Arthur Avenue extended West, as said Arthur Avenue was dedicated in Centex Industrial Park Unit 8, being a subdivision in said Section 35, (said point of intersection being 826.16 feet North of the North Line of Devon Avenue); Thence East along said extension of Arthur Avenue (said extension of Arthur Avenue being a line parallel to the North line of Devon Avenue) to a point 350.0 feet East of the East line of State Route 83; Thence South at right angles, to said extension of Arthur Avenue, a distance of 425.0 feet; Thence West at right angles to the last described course 462.11 feet more or less to the West line Of said Southwest Quarter of Section 35; Thence North along the West line of the Southwest Quarter of Section 35, 425.00 feet more or less, to the place of beginning) in Cook County, Illinois, is within the unincorporated territory of Cook County, and not within any municipality and is less than sixty (60) acres in area: and WHEREAS, said land and territory is both contiguous and wholly bounded by the Village of Elk Grove Village; and WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois, and particularly Section 7-1-13 of Chapter 24 thereof (Illinois Revised Statutes 1963) provides for the annexation of said territory upon the passage of an ordinance by the Village; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, find and believe it to be to the best interest of said Village that the eforedescribed land and territory be annexed thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois: Section 1. That all land and territory legally described as follows, to wit: The 6outh half of the Southwest quarter of Section 35, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the third principal meridan, (except the East 60 acres thereof and except that part lying North of a line 826.16 feet North of an parallel to the North line of Devon Avenue and except that part described as follows: Commencing at a point of intersection of the West line of said Southwest quarter of Section 35, and the South line of Arthur Avenue extended West, as said Arthur Avenue was dedicated in Centex Industrial Park Unit 8, being a subdivision in said Section 35, (said point of in- tersection being 826.16 feet North of the North line of Devon Avenue); Thence East along said extension of Arthur Avenue (said extension of Arthur Avenue being a line par- allel to the North line of Devon Avenue) to a point 350.0 feet East of the East line of State Route 83; Thence South at right angles, to said extension of Arthur Avenue, a distance of 425.0 feet; Thence West at right angles to the last described course 462.11 feet more or less to the West line of said Southwest quarter of Section 35; Thence North along the West line of the Southwest quarter of Section 35, 425.00 feet more or less, to the place of beginning) in Cook County, Illinois. which territory is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village and is wholly bounded by the Village of Elk Grove and is not present- ly in any incorporated municipality but is in the unincorporated territory of Cook County and whereas said territory is less than sixty (60) acres in size, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Elk Grove Village so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundry lines and limits of said Village, as is by law in such case made and provided. Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordin- ance together with an accurate plat of said territory with the Re- corder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. Section 3. That this ordinance shell be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
