AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 ARTICLE XVIII OF
THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELIC GROVE
VILLAGE
NOS1, THEREFORE] BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove V illage, Counties of Cook and DuPage;

Section 1, that Section I Article XVIII be amended to read as

. Protests,
The regulations Imposed and the districts created by
this ordinance may from time to time be amended by an
ordinance passed by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village after the effective date of this ordinance.
No such amendment shall,be made'wi.thout a public hearing
before the Plan Commission of the Village as same shall
be constituted by the Municipal Code of the Village.
The Plan Commission shall, in addition to the foregoing,
formulate all new zoning ordinances and comprehensive
amendments to the text of this zoning ordinance, acting
with the advise of the zoning advisors retained by the
Village and at the direction of the corporate authorities
and shall call and conduct such public hearings as are
necessary in reference thereto.
Said Plan Commission is designated as the Zoning Comm-
ission of the Village for all purposes provided for by
the Statutes of the State of Illinois.
Notice of the time and place of all public hearings pro-
vided for in this ordinance shall be given not more than
30 or less than 15 days before the hearing by publishing
a notice thereof at least once in a newspaper published
in or having general circulation within the Village. All
written protests against any district amendment this or-
dinance shall be W the form provided for by statute and
shall be filed with the Village Clerk.
The provisions contained in this section shall not be
construed or interpreted as effecting the procedures for
variations as set forth in Section 6 Article XVI of this
ordinance nor the procedures for appeals from rulings of
the Building Commissioner as set forth in Section 3 of
Article XVI of this ordinance.tl1
Section 2. All provisions in the Zoning Ordinance of the Village
of Elk Grove Village contrary to the above amendment are hereby deemed re-
pealed and of no further force and effect.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
