AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE AS TO THE
1,01BERSHIP OF TIM PLAIT COLMISSION OF THE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of E11; Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage Counties,
Illinois.
Section 1. That Section 7.702 of the Municipal Code of the Village
of Elk Grove Village be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"7.702 Idembership. The Plan Commission shall consist of eight
members to include the following: The President of the Board of Trustees
who shall be a member ex. officio with the power to vote, and seven other
members, residents of the Village appointed by and with the approval of the
Board of Trustees on the basis of their particular fitness."
Section 2. That Section 7.703 of the Municipal Code of the Village
of Elk Grove Village be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
'17.703 Term of Office. The Village President shall serve for
the term of his elective office. Of the seven other members one shall be
appointed chairman for a term of five years. One shall be appointed for
a term of four years. One shall be appointed for a tern of three years.
Two shall be appointed for a tem of two years. Two shall be appointed for
a term of one year. Thereafter all appointed members shall serve for a
tern of three years. Vacancies shall be filled by appointment for u n-
e:7ired terns only. All members of the corunission shall serve without
conpensation except that if the Village Board of Trustees deems it advisable
they nay receive such compensation as may be fixed from time to time by
said Village and provided for by the above ordinance."
Section 3. That Section 7.705 of the Municipal Code of the Village
of E11. Grove Village be amended by adding thereto the following:
"I - To act as a zoning corunission in accordance with the pro-
visions of the Zoning Code."
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
