AN ORDINANCE CALLING FOR A REGULAR ELECTION OF
OFFICERS OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE,
ON TUESDAY, APRIL 20, 1965,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois:
Section 1. That there shall be a regular election of officers of the
Village of Elk Grove Village on Tuesday, April 20, 1965
Section 2. That at said election there shall be elected:
a Village President
a Village Clerk
3 Village Trustees
each for a four-year term
1 Village Trustee
for a two-year term, and
2 Library Directors
each for a six-year term.
Section 3. That the ballot to be used in said election shall be in the
form prescribed by statute, and it shall be the duty of the Village Clerk to
see to the preparation of sufficient ballots for the election and to cause a
sample of said ballot to be published prior to the day of the election in the
Elk Grove Herald, a newspaper of general circulation published in said Village,
and to cause to be provided the necessary election supplies.
Section 4. That at least fifteen but not more than thirty days prior to
the election, the Village Clerk shall cause to be published in the Elk Grove
Herald a notice of election which shall be substantially as follows:
SEE ATTACHED - NOTICE OF ELECTION
Section 5. That the precincts or voting districts for said election and
the polling places shall be those designated in the preceding section.
Section 6. That the judges of election shall be appointed by the President
with the approval of the Board of Trustees in the manner provided for by law.
Section 7. That said election and all matters pertaining thereto shall be
conducted in the manner prescribed by the Statutes of the State of Illinois.
Section 8. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.

NOTICE OF ELECTICN
On the 20th day of April, 1965, there will be held a regular election of
the Village of Elk Grove Village to elect a Village President, a Village Clerk,
three Village Trustee, each for a four-year term, one Village Trustee for a two-
year term and tw♦ J4.brary Directors,. each for a six-year term.
The precincts and polling places for such election shall be as follows:
Precinct No. 1: All that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village lying
north of the center line of Oakten Road (all of which is within the County of
Cook . VcAing District No. 14). Polling place: Elk Grove Village Public
Library,& 3a Foreat Lane, Village of Elk Grove Village.
Precinct No. 2: All that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village lying
east ,of Arlington Heights Road and north of the center line of Landmeier Road
and south of the center line of Oakton Road; AND all that area of the Village of
Elk Grave Village bounded by Tonne Road on the West, Landmeier Road and Higgins
Reed an the north, Elmhurst Road on the east and, Devon Avenue on the south;
AND all that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village lying north of Higgins
Road and west of Elmhurst Road; (all of which is within County of Cook - Voting
Districts 4 and 17); AND all that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village
lying south of Devon Avenue. Polling place: Municipal Building, 666 Landmeier
Road, Village of Elk Grove Village.
Precinct No. 3: All that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village lying
within an area defined by a line which commences at a point at the intersection
of the center line of Arlington Heights Road and Salt Creek, thence northeasterly
along the center line of Arlington Heights Road to its intersection with the center line
of Landmeier Road, thence eastwardly along the center line of Landmeier Road to
the center line of Tonne Road, thence southwardly along the centerline of Tonne
Road to the center line of Elk Grove Boulevard, thence westwardly along the
center line of Elk Grove Boulevard to the center line of Ridge Avenue, thence
southwardly along the center line of Ridge Avenue to the center line of Brook-
haven Drive, thence westwardly along the center line of Brookhaven Drive to
Cypress Lane and continuing along the north extension of Brookhaven Drive to
Salt Creek, thence northwardly along Salt Creek to the place of beginning, (all
of which is within County of Cook - Voting Districts 3, 13 and 18). Polling
place: Ridge Elementary School, 650 Ridge Avenue, Village of Elk Grove Village.
Precinct No. 4: All that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village lying
within an area defined by a line which commences at a point at the intersection
of the center lines of Elk Grove Boulevard and Ridge Avenue, thence eastwardly
along the center line of Elk Grove Boulevard to the center line of Tonne Road,
thence southwardly along the center line of Tonne Road to the center line of
Clearmont Drive, thence westwardly along the center line of Clearmont Drive to
the center line of Maple Lane, thence southwardly along the center line of Maple
Lane to the center line of Pinewood Drive, thence westwardly along the center
line of Pinewood Drive to the center line of Aspen Lane, thence northwardly
along the center line of Aspen Lane to the center line of Clearmont Drive, thence
westwardly along the center line of Clesrmont Drive to the center line of Ridge
Avenue, thence northwardly along the center line of Ridge Avenue to the center
line of Elk Grove Boulevard (the place of beginning), (all of which is
within County of Cook - Voting Districts No. 19 and 20). Polling place: Grant
Wood Elementary School and Youth Center, Elk Grove Boulevard and Ridge Avenue,
Village of Elk Grove Village.
Precinct No. 5: All that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village lying
within an area defined by a line commencing at Salt Creek and the north line
of Brookhaven Drive as extended thence,continuing eastwardly along the north
line of Brookhaven Drive to the center line of Ridge Avenue, thence southwardly
along the center line of Ridge Avenue to the center line of Clearmont Drive,
thence eastwardly along the center line of Clearmont Drive to the center line
of Aspen Lane, thence southwardly along the center line of Aspen Lane to the
center line of Pinewood Drive, thence eastwardly along the center line of Pine-
wood Drive to the center line of Maple Lane, thence northwardly along the center
line of Maple Lane to the center line of Clearmont Drive, thence eastwardly along
the center line of Clearmont Drive to the center line of Tonne Road, thence
southwardly along the center line of Tonne Road to Devon Avenue, thence west-
wardly, northwardly and westwardly along the Elk Grove Village limits to Salt
Creek, thence northwardly along Salt Creek to the point of beginning (all of
which is within County of Cook - Voting Districts 26 and 33) Polling place:
Clearmont Elementary School, Ridge Avenue and Clearmont Drive, Village of Elk
Grove Village.
Precinct No. 6: All that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village lying
west of Salt Creek and west of Arlington Heights Road, (all of which is with-
in County of Cook, Elk Grove Township Voting Districts No. 21 and 29 and
Schaumburg Township Voting District No. 11). Polling place: Salt Creek
Elementary School, Eden Road and John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Village of Elk
Grove Village.
Polls shall be open from 6:00 o'clock a.m. to 6:00 o'clock p.m. Central
Standard Time.
