HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 312 - 11/7/1963 - VACATING KING ST./PART OF LEEORDINANCE NO. 312 AN ORDINANE VACATING ALL OF KING STREET AND A PART OF LEE STREET WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after due investigation and due consideration, have determined that the nature and extent of the public use and the public interest to be subserved is such as to warrant the vacation of all of King Street and a portion of Lee Street in the Village of Elk Grove Village, and further described in this ordinance, and WHEREAS, all abutting and ad0oining property owners have petitioned for the vacation of all of King Street and a portion of Lee Street; Section 1. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, County of Cook, Illinois, that all of King Street and a portion of Lee Street in the Village of Elk Grove Village, as hereinafter described, shall be and the same is hereby vacated and closed inasmuch as said street and portion of Lee Street were no longer re- quired for the public use and the public interest would best be subserved by such vacation All of King Street and a part or portion of Lee Street both as dedicated in Higgins Road Commercial Subdivision, Unit No 2, being a Subdivision in the West half of Section 22, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian; said King Street being described as all that part of King Street lying North of the North line of Higgins Road and said pest or portion of Lee Street being more particularly described as all that part of Lee Street lying West of the East line of Lot 46 in Higgins Road Commercial Subdivision Unit No 2 aforesaid, extended South to the North line of Lot 32 in said Higgins Road Commercial Sub- division Unit No. 2 all in Cook County, Illinois. Section 2. Be it further ordained that the Village Clerk be and is hereby directed to file for record in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County a certified copy of this ordinance with an accompanying plat of vacation. Section 3• That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. PASSED this Z day of November, 1963 VOTE: AYES: Trustees, Dillon, Keith, Lewis, Mullen, Zettek. NAYS: None ABSENT: Trustee Malonek APPROVED this 7th day of November, 1963 James R.
