AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE ZONING.
ORDINANCE RELATING, TO PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF HIGGINS ROAD,
SOUTH OF THE TOLL ROAD AND 14EST OF ET14MMST ROAD, EXCLUDING
THE PROPERTY AT THE EXACT NORTIMST CORNER OF HIGGINS AND
ELMHURST
WHERE9S, the Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk Grove Village, sitting
as a Zoning Commission at a public meeting duly called and held according to
law (Appeal No. Wi), considered the question of reclassifying the real estate
hereinafter described from R-1 to M-2 Heavy Industrial District
AND, WEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk
Grove Village, having considered the recommendation of said Zoning Board of
Appeals, find and believe that the highest and best use of said real estate is
that of M-2 Heavy Industrial District
N94, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of F.lk Trove 'Tillage, Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1. That an ordinance entitled "An ordinance to regulate and limit
the height and bulk of buildings; to regulate and limit the intensity of the use
of lot areas, and to regulate and determine the areas of open space within and
surrounding such buildings; to classify, regulate and restrict the location of
trades and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified
industrial business, residential and other uses; to divide the entire Village
of Elk Grove Village into districts for the purpose of this ordinance; to fix
standards to which buildings or structures shall conform; to prohibit uses,
buildings or structures incompatible with the character of such districts
respectively; and to prevent additions to and alterations or remodeling of
existing buildings or structures in such a way as to avoid the restrictions
and limitations lawfully imposed hereunder, and to provide penalties for
violation hereof," passed and approved Iuly 8, 1957, known as Ordinance No. 20,
as amended, be amended by reclassifying the following described real estate from
(The legal description of said real estate is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference as if here fully set out.)
Section 2. That said real estate as reclassified shall be subject to all
the limitations and conditions placed upon properties in the M-2 District, as
defined in the ordinances aforementioned.
Section 3. That any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys,
omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any
of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not more than One Hundred
MOO) Dollars for each offense, and each day that a violation is permitted to
exist shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication, according to law.

Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Southeast quarter
of said section, thence West along the North line of said
Southeast quarter 661.09 feet, thence Southwesterly 314.24
feet to a point 298 feet South of the North line of said
Southeast quarter and 780.8 feet West of the East line of

of beginning a distance of 199.55 feet, thence East along

90 feet to the place of beginning; excepting also the

Beginning at a point in the East line of said Section 26
which is 198 feet South of the Northeast corner of the
Southeast quarter of said section, thence South along the
East line of said section 100 feet, thence West along a
line which is 298 feet South of and parallel with the
North line of said Southeast quarter, 50 feet to a point,
thence Northwesterly along a straight line to a point of
intersection with a line which is 198 feet South of and

West along a line 293 feet South of and parallel with the
Horth line of said Southeast quarter, 730.3 feet; thence
Southwesterly 273.33 feet to a point on a line 562 feet
South of and parallel with the north line of said Southeast
quarter; thence East along said last described line 369.13
feet to the Last line of said Southeast quarter; thence
Worth along the East line of said Southeast quarter 264
feet to the place of beginning excepting therefrom,the
following described property:
Beginning at a point in the East line of said Section 26
which is a distance of 298 feet South of the Northeast
corner of said Southeast quarter; thence continuing South
along the East line of said section to a line which is

Southwesterly in a straight line to a point in a line
drawn parallel to and 301.55 feet South of the North
line of said Southeast quarter of said Section 26; thence
East along a line which is 901.55 feet South of the
north line of said quarter section a distance of
943.23 feet to the East line thereof; thence ilorth along
the East line of said quarter section 233.65 feet to
the place of beginning, excepting therefrom that portion
thereof lying East of a line drawn parallel to and 33

Commencing at a point in the center line of Higgins Road
655.45 feet North 41 degrees meet from the Louth line of
the section aforesaid; thence worth 49 degrees East,
441.4 feet, thence South 41 degrees East, 295 feet to the
Northwesterly line extended of Lot 34 in Steele's Higgins
and Touhy Highlands, a subdivision in the East half of the
Southeast quarter of Section 26, Township 41 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian, thence South 49 degrees
West along the Northwesterly line and Northwesterly line
extended of Lot 34 in Steele's Higgins and Touhy Highlands
aforesaid, 422.8 feet to a curved line convex to the
bouthwest along the center line of Touhy Avenue with a
radius of 1809.6 feet, said curved line being the Southwest
line of tract of land conveyed to School District by deed
recorded in Recorder's Office of Cook County, Illinois, as
Document No. 916909, thence Northwesterly along said
curved line to the place of beginning, excepting therefrom
that portion thereof lying Southwesterly of a line drawn
parallel to and 50 feet Northeasterly of the center line
of Biggins Road as measured at right angles to said center

West from the Northeant corner of said West half of the

section with the line drawn 601.55 feet South of and
parallel with the North line of said Southeast quarter,
thence East alon the Oct mentioned parallel line 353.31
feet to a point which .s 1239.37 feet West of the East
line of said Southeast quarter as measured along said
parallel line, thence Northeasterly along a line to a
point in the North line of said Southeast quarter of said
section which is 353.311 feet East of the Northwest corner
of the East half of the Southeast, quarter of the section
as measured along said North line, thence West along said
North line of said Southeast quarter 353.34 feet to the
place of beginninL,

Lots 1 to 11, both inclusive, and Lots 16 to 34, both
inclusive, in Steele's Higgins and Touhy Highlands, a
subdivision in the east half of the southeast quarter
of Section 26, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the
Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois.

Vacated school street and alleys abutting and adjacent
to Lots 1 to 12, both inclusive, and 16 to 34, both
inclusive (except that part of 20 foot public alley
lying southwesterly of Lot 12 and easterly of a line
drawn from the Southwesterly corner of said Lot 12 to
the northeasterly corner of Lot 16 in Cook County,
Illinois.
