AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4.1002 and 4.1003
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE
VILLAGE RELATING TO A VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois:
Section 1. That Section 4.1002 of the Municipal Code of the Village
of Elk Grove Village be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 4.1002. Appointment. The Village Administrator
shall be appointed by the President and Board of Trustees,
acting jointly, for an indefinite term. During his tenure
of employment he shall reside in the Village. Any vacancy
in the position of Village Administrator shall be filled
ninety (90) days after said vacancy."
Section 2. That the first paragraph of Section 4.1003 be and is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Section 4.1003. Powers and duties of Village Administrator.
The Village Administrator shall be an executive employee of
the Village. He shall be responsible to the President and
Board of Trustees for the proper administration of village
affairs and shall be the administrative head of all depart-
ments. He shall have the following powers:"
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.
