J AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TEXT OF Tim ELK GROVE ZONING ORDINANCE NOW, THFREFORF, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village o:" EI:: Grove Vi_.l.age, Counties of Co:;!, and DuPage, Illinois Section 1. That Sub Paragraph 1 of Para-raph A of Article X27 ooh mooning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village Is hereby amended to read as follows: "1.. No lot, parcel., or tract of land shall be used, and no building or structure shall be erected, altered, or remodeled for any of the following uses: abattoirs; arsenals, crematories; creosote treatment or manu- facture; fat rendering; fertilizer manufacture; fireworks or explosive manufacture or storage; dumping, reduction, or other processing of garbage, dead animals, offal or refuse, except as customarily incidental to a permitted principal use; ore reduction; petroleum processing or refining; pyroxylin manufacture; natural or synthetic rubber, caoutchouc, or gutta percha manufacture or treat- ment; salt works, sauerkraut manufacture; soap manufacture; smelters; stock yard or slaughter of animals or fowls; tallow, grease, or lard manufacture or treatment; tanning, curing, or storage of rawhides or skins; tar distillation, or manufacture; or cement concrete or asphaltic concrete mixing plants,jun2c shop, junk yards or automobile wrecking yards. Section 2. That Sub Paragraph 2 of Paragraph A of Article XII B of t ei M—G—Grove Village Zoning Ordinance isherebyamended to read as follows: "2,No activities involving the storage, utilization or manu- facturing of materials or products which decompose by detonation shall be permitted, except such as are customa- rily incidental to the operation of a principal use In such quantities, and in a manner conforming with applicib7. performance standards set forth hereafter under A-4 of this Section. Such materials shall include, but shall not be confined to; all primary explosives such as lead asido, lead styphnate, fulminates snd t -'-?ac=e, s._.l high explosives such as TNT, RDX, HMX, PETN, and picric acid; propellants and components thereof such as nitrocellulose, black powder, boron hydrides, hydrazine and its deriva- tives; pyrotechnics and fireworks such as magnesium powder, potassium chlorate and potassium nitrate; blasting explosives such as dynamite and nitroglycerine; unstable organic compounds such as acetylide, tetrazoles, perch loric acid, perchloratA.s, chlorates, hydrogen peroxide in concentrations greater cha_z 35 per cent; and nuclear fuel; fissionable materials and products and reactor elements such as Uranium 235 and Plutonliri 239." Section j. This amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of Elk Grove Village shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law, PASSED and APPROVED this 28th day of May, 1964 James.
