AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5, POLICE DEPARTMENT, SECTION 5.001
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Pagc,
Illinois:
Section 1. That Section 5.001 of the Municipal Code of the Village
of Elk Grove Village be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"5.001. There is hereby created a Police Department, an executive
department of the Village. The Police Department shall
consist of the Chief of Police who shall be superintendent
of police, four Sergeants, and twelve Patrolmen and such
other members as may be provided for from time to time
by the President and Board of Trustees."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.
