ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO PROPERTY BOUNDED BY DEVON AVENUE ON THE NORTH AND ROUTE 83 ON THE TrWST, DUPAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS. WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk Grovu Village, sitting as a Zoning Commission at a public n..eeting duly called and hold according to law (Appeal No. 62-3 ), considered the question of reclassifying the real estate hereinafter described from R-1 (20,000 Square Feet Single Family Dwelling District) to M-2 (Heavy Industrial District). AND, WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of th_, VillaEp of Elk Grove Villages having considered the recommendation of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that the highest and best use of said real estate is that of M-2, Heavy Industrial District„ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, and DuPago County, Illinois: Section 1. That an ordinance entitled "An ordinance to regulate and limit the he --;ht and bulk of buildings; to rogulatc and limit the intensity of the use of lot areas, and to regulato and determine the areas of open space within and surrounding such buildings; to classify, regulate and restrict the location of trades and industries and the location of buildings designed for the purpose of this ordinance; to fix standards to which buildings or structures shall conform; to prohibit uses, buildings or structures incompatible with the character of such districts respectively; and to prevent additions to and alterations or romodoi- ing of existing buildings or structures in such a way as to avoid the rostrictions and limitations lawfully imposed hereunder, and to provide penalties for violation hereof, "passed and approvod July 8, 1957, known as Ordinance No. 20, as amended, be amended by reclassifying the following described real estate from R-1 (200000 Square Foot Single Family Dwelling District) to M-2 (Heavy Industrial District) The West half of fractional Northwest quarter of Section 29 Township 40 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal. Meridian, also the North half of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 2, Township 40 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, also a part of the East half of fractional West half of Section 2, Township 40 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal. Meridian, described as follows: commencing at the North- west corner of said East half of said fractional West half: thence South 38 chains and 16� links; thence East 5 links; thence North 38 chains and 162 links; thence West 15 links to the place of beginning, excepting therefrom such part or portion thereof as h^s horetofore been dedicated to the State of Illinois, ur highway purposes by instrument dated July 12, 1937 and recorded July 14, 1937 as Document. No. 3817002 DuPage County, Illinois Section 2. That said roil estate as reclassified shall be subject to all the limitations and conditions placed upon prop- orties in the M-2, Heavy Industrial District, as defined in the ordinances aforementioned. Section 3. That any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this or- dinance shall be fined not more than One Hundred ($100) Dollars for each offense, and each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication, according to law.
