HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 261 - 12/6/1962 - PAYMENT TO RESERVE POLICEORDINANCE NO. 261 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5.1 SECTION 5.20 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE RELATING TO PAYMENT TO RESERVE POLICEMEN. NOWT, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees, of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois: Section 1. That Section 5.20 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and is hereby amended to read as follows: "5.20. Reserve Policemen enrolled in membership of the Police Reserve as herein provided shall not receive payment for the first sixteen (16) hours of duty in any one month nor for any time spent in training as a Reserve Policeman, Time in excess of the above may be compensated for by the Village at the rate of Two ($2,00) Dollars per hour to defer the expense of the Reserve Policeman. However, such payment shall be subject to the approval of the President and Board of Trustees. Voluntary contributions made by civic or semi -civic organizations may be accepted by members,of the Police Reserve subject to the approval of the Chief of Police." Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, and approval according to law. PASSED this 6th day of December, 1962.
