AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22A CF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
RELATING TO VILLAC-E WATER AND SE1,ER
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT (RDAINEP by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk uro-�c village, Counties
of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1, That Section 22A,107 of Chapter 22A of the
:Municipal Code of Elk Grove Village be renumbered to Section
22A,109; so 'that in the future it shall be designated as follows:
"Section 22A.109, Any person, firm or corporation vio-
lating any provision of this Article I shall be fined not less
than $1.00 }dor more than $200„00 for each offense and a separate
offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which
a violation occurs or continues„"
Section 2, That there be added to Chapter 22A of the
Municipal Code of Elk Grove Village the following Section:
"Section 22A.107, Disposal of any sewage from premises
in the Village of Elk Grove Village in any manner other than by
discharge of the same into the sewerage system of said Village,
is hereby declared to be a nuisance; every water closet or privy
connected and used in any building not connected with the sewer-
age system of said Village, is hereby declared to be a nuisance,
provided this Section shall be inapplicable to premises where con-
noction with the sewerage system in not feasible. Such connection
with the sewerage system is hereby declared to be feasible as to
any premises abutting any street, alley or other public way or
sewer right -of --way in which any line of the sewerage system of
the Village exists or has existed for a period of one hundred and
twenty (120) days.,"
Section 3„ That there be added to Chapter 22A of the
Municipal Code of Elk Grove Village the following Section:
"Section 22A.108, Every person, firm or corporation
using premises in the Village of .Elk Grove Village from which the
disposal of sewage is necessary, shall connect said premises to
the sanitary sewerage system of the Village within one hundred
and twenty (120) days after the establishment of sanitary sewer-
age service to said premises, Such sewerage service is hereby
declared to be established for any premises in the Village when
any line of the sewerage system of said Village is in any street

alley or other public way or right-of-way abutting the premises.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
