AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL ZONING COMMISSION
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Hoard of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village;
Section 1. That there is hereby established a Zoning Commission for
the purpose of proposing and preparing a new and comprehensive
Zoning Ordinance for the Village which ordinance shall contain new
text regulations and proposed zoning boundaries.
Section 2. Said Zoning Commission shall conduct public hearings
on the proposed zoning ordinance and report to the President and
Board of Trustees their findings relative thereto in accordance
with the Statutes of the State of Illinois.
Section 3. Said Zoning Commission shall consist of eleven (11)
members, one of whom shall serve as chairman. Said members and
chairman shall be appointed by the President of the Village with
the concurrence of the Board of Trustees and shall serve until
a new Zoning Ordinance is adopted at which time said Commission
shall cease to exist.
All members and Chairman of Zoning Commission shall serve without
compensation.
Section Q. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
