AN ORDINANCE CALLING FOR A REGULAR ELECTION OF
OFFICERS OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
ON TUESDAY. APRIL 16, 1963,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Dufkv, Illinois:
Section 1. That there shall be a regular election of officers of
the Village of Elk Grove Village on Tuesday, April 16, 1963.
Section 2. That at said election there shall be elected:
3 Village Trustees, each for a four-year term, and
2 Library Directors, each for a six-year term.
Section 3. That the ballot to be used in said election shall be in
the form prescribed by statute, and it shall be the duty of the Village Clerk
to see to the preparation of sufficient ballots for the election and to cause
a sample of said ballot to be published prior to the day of the election in
the Elk Grove Herald, a newspaper of general circulation published in said
Village, and to cause to be provided the necessary election supplies.
Section 4. That at least fifteen but not more than thirty days prior
to the election, the Village Clerk shall cause to be published in the Elk Grcve
Herald a notice of election which shall be substantially as follows:

Section 5. .That the precincts or voting districts for said election
and the polling places shall be those designated in the preceding section.
Section 6. That the judges of election shall be appointed by the
President with the approval of the Board of Trustees in the manner provided
for by law.
Section 7. That said election and all matters pertaining thereto
shall be conducted in the manner prescribed by the Statutes of the State of
Illinois.
Section 8. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.

Notice of Election
On the 16th day of April, 1963, there will be held a regular election
of the Village of Elk Grove Village to elect three Village Trustees, each for
a four-year term, and two Library Directors, each for a six-year term.
The precincts and polling places for such election shall be as follows:
Precinct No. 1: All that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village
lying north of the center line of Oakton Road (also identified by County of
Cook as Voting District No. 14). Polling Place: Elk Grove Village Public
Library, 38 Forest Lane, Village of Elk Grove Village.
Precinct bb. 2: All that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village
lying north of the center line of Landmeier Road and south of the center line
of Oakton Road (also identified by County of Cook as Voting District No. 4).
Polling Place: Municipal Building, 666 Landmeier Road, Village of Elk Grove
Village.
Precinct No. 3: All that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village
lying south of Landmeier Road, west of Tonne Road north of Laurel Street, and
west of Ridge Avenue south of Laurel Street, except the Clearmount School and
the Episcopal Church site, which School and Church site lie east of Westview
Drive and north of Clearmount Drive (also identified by County of Cook as
Voting Districts Nos. 18, 13 and 21). Polling Place: Grove Junior High-
school, Elk Grove Boulevard and Ridge Avenue, Village of Elk Grove Village.
Precinct No. 4: All property in the Village located south of Devon
Avenue, AND all that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village lying south of
Landmeier Road and east of Tonne Road, plus such portions of the Village of
Elk Grove Village lying west of Tonne Road as are south of Laurel Street,
East of Ridge Avenue and north of a line defined as follows: commencing at
a point at the intersection of Ridge Avenue and Birchwood Avenue, thence north-
easterly along Birchwood Avenue to Victoria Lane, thence south6u terly along
Victoria Lane to Carswell Avenue, thence easterly along Carswell Avenue to
Cedar Lane, thence south along Cedar Lane to.3learmount Drive, thence east
along Clearmount Drive to Tonne Road (also identified by County of Cook as
Voting Districts Nos. 3, 19 and 17): Polling Place: The Jay Cee Barn,
780 Tonne Road, Village of Elk Grove Village.
Precinct No. 5: All that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village
lying west of Tonne Road and east of Ridge Avenue as lie south of a line defined
as follows: commencing at a point at the intersection of Ridge Avenue and
Birchwood avenue, thence northeasterly along Birchwood Avenue to Victoria Lane,
thence southeasterly along Victoria Lane to Carswell Avenue, thence easterly
along Carswell Avenue to Gedar Lane, thence south along Cedar Lane to Clearmount
Drive, thence east along Clearmount Drive to Tonne Road; plus the Clearmount
Elementary School and the Episcopal Church site, which School and Church site

are bounded on the north by Brookhaven Drive, on the west by Westview Drive,
on the south by Clearmount Drive, and on the east by Ridge Avenue (also
identified by County of Cook as Voting Districts Nos. 20 and 26). Polling
Place: Clearmount School, Ridge Avenue and Clearmount Drive, Village of Elk
Grove Village.
Polls shall be open from 6:00 o'clock a:.m. to 6:00 o'clock p.m.
Central Standard Time.
