That Section 24.029 is hereby renumbered to read as follows: 1124.033. Penalty. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter shall be fined not less than $1.00 nor more than •",100.00 for each offense; and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues." Section 2. That there is hereby added to Chapter 24 of the Municipal Code of Elk Grove Village the following: 1124.029. Curfew. It shall be unlawful for any child as defined in Section 24.030 below to be upon any public way or public place in the Village between the hours of 11:30 o1clock p.m. Friday and 6:00 o'clock a.m. Saturday or between the hours of 11:30 o'clock p.m. Saturday and 6:00 o'clock a.m. Sunday or between the hours of 10:30 o'clock p.m. and 6:00 o'clock a.m. on any other day of the week unless accompanied by and in the charge of a parent, guardian, or other proper companion of the age of at least twenty-one years, or unless engaged in some occupation or business in which such child may be lawfully engaged under the statutes of the State of Illinois. 1121..030. Child as used in Section 24.029 above and Sections 24.031 and 24.032 below: Any person, male or female, who has not reached their 17th birthday is considered for pur- poses of this ordinance only to be a child. 1124.031. Enforcement of curfew. Any duly authorized law-enforcement officer of the Villag¢ finding a child or children violating the provisions of Section 2LF.02y shall warn the child or children to desist immediately from such violation and shall report the violation to his superior officer together with the names and addresses of the child or children, and said superior officer shall cause a written notice to be served persanally upon the parent, guardian or person in charge of such child or children, setting forth the manner of violation. "24.032. Penalty on parent. Any parent, guardian or person in charge of a child or children violating the provisions of this ordinance who, within a period of one year from the date of violation, shall knowingly permit such child or children to violate Section 24.029 hereof after receiving the first violation notice served pursuant to Section 24.031, shall be fined not less than $1.00 nor more than $100.jU for each violation." Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law. PASSED this C��day of , 1963.
