AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE BY
ESTABLISHING A PLAYGROUND AID RECREATION BOARD
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties
of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. That the Municipal Code of Elk Grove Village
be and is hereby amended by adding to Chapter 7 thereof the fol -
owing:
"Article X. Playground and Recreation Board.
"Section 7.10014 There is hereby established a Play-
ground and Recreation Board pursuant to the provisions of Section
11-95-3 of the Municipal Code of the State of Illinois, which
Board shall have all the powers and duties as are provided for said
Board by Division 95 of the Municipal Code of the State of Illinois,
provided, however, that no expenditure shall be made by said Board
until and unless prior authority has been granted to said Board by
the President and Board of Trustees for said expenditure*
"Section 7.1002. Members. The Playground and Recreation
Board shall have five (5) members appointed by the President with
the advice end consent of the Board of Trustees. The terms of
each member shall be for five (5) years; except that the first
member appointed under this ordinance shall have a term of one
year commencing May 1 , 1963 and ending May l.L_1964s the second
member appointed under this ordinance shall have a term of two
years commencing May lL 1963 and ending May is 1965, the third member
appointed under this ordinance shall have a term of three years comm-
encing May 1, 1963 and ending May 1,_1966, the fourth member appointed
under this ordinance shall have a term of four years commencing May 1L
1963 and ending May_1L1967.
"Section 7.1003. No member serving on said Playground and
Recreation Board shall receive salary or compensation for performing
the duties of a member of said Board."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
