PRESIDENT TO MAKEORDINANCE NO. 208 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT TO MAKE EXPENDITURES NOT TO EXCEED $2$.00 WHEREAS, it is both necessary and convenient in the expedicious handling of Village business that the Village President be given the authority to order the immediate expenditure of moneys necessary to the handling of Village business, and WHEREAS, there are times and situations which do not afford an opportunity for said expenditures to be authorized by the President and Board of Trustees prior to their being made, and WHEREAS, it is to the best interests of the Village of Elk Grove Village that the President be authorized to make limited expenditures not exceeding $25.00 in amount so as to facilitate the better operation of government. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That the Municipal Code of Elk Grove Village be and is hereby amended by adding thereto: 111.006. The President, upon the recommendation of the appropriate chairman of a standing committee may order the immediate expenditure of a sum not to exceed Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars for any corporate purpose, provided the same has been included in the annual budget. The Village Treasurer shall disburse said sums at the written direction of the President and shall periodically report said expenditures to the Board of Trustees; but in no event less often than once in every fiscal year." Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect.from and after its passage and approval according to 1 aw. PASSED this 26th day of December, 1961.
