AN ORDINABTCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS TO THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Municipal Code of 1961 provides that territory dedicated for street
and highway purposes which is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Public
Works and Buildings of the State of Illinois or the Township Highway Department
may be annexed to a municipality by ordinance if said street or highway is con—
tiguous to the Village, provided that the same has not been annexed to any other
municipality, and
WHEREAS, certain portions of Arlington Heights Road, Landmeier Road and Busse
Road presently lie without any municipality but are contiguous to the corporate
limits cf the Village of Elk Grove Village, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village,
Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, for the purpose of maintaining its policing
authority over these roads and streets and not for any other purpose believe it
to be to the best interest of the general public and the residents of the Village
of Elk Grove Village that said portion of said streets be annexed to the corporate
limits of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
NOWs THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1, That the territory and lands hereinafter described, towit:
That part of Arlington Heights Road between Devon Avenue and the northwesterly
corner of the Village of Elk Grove Village adjoining the present Village limits
and not heretofore annexed to said Village; also
That part of Landmeier Road between Tonne Road and Touhy Avenue adjoining the
present Village limits and not heretofore annexed to said Village; also
That part of Busse Road from Devon Avenue north and adjoining the present Village
limits and not heretofore annexed to said Village;
being contiguous to the Vill�ra of Elk Grove Village and being dedicated or used
for street and highway purposes and not being within any other municipality, be
and -.Y. h,�rrhy ar_.exed and made a part of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
Section 2. That the boundary lines of the Village of Elk Grove Village be hereby
enlarged and extended so as to include within its corporate boundaries the above
described territory,
Section 3. That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to file a certified copy
of this ordinance together with an accurate map of the above territory with the
Recorder of Deeds of Cook County.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
it3 passage and approval according to law.

Vote: Ayes: Dillon, Hartshorn, Keith, Smith, Young, Zettek.
Nays: None.
Absent: None.
