AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS
TO THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE,
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village Clerk
of the Village of Elk Grove Village by the Great Northern Development Company,
a Delaware Corporation, being the sole owner of record of the hereinafter
described land and territory for annexation to the Village of Elk Grove Vil—
lage, and there being no electors residing thereon; and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate limits
of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village, is
uninhabited; and
WHEREAS, said petition is under oath and in all respects complies
with the statutes in such case made and provided; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk
Grove Village have examined said petition, have considered the question of
the annexation of the territory described in said petition and believe it to
be to the best interests of the Village of Elk Grove Village that said ter—
ritory be annexted thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1 That lands and territory described in said petition,
towit:
The West half of the East half of the Southeast quarter of
Section 32, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Princi—
pal Meridian, Cook County, Illinois; and
The East half of the East half of the Southwest quarter of
Section 32, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Princi—
pal Meridian, Cook County,Illinois;
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village, is not em—
braced thereon, is uninhabited and is unincorporated, be and the same is
hereby annexed to the Village of Elk Grove Village so that hereafter said
territory shall be included within the boundary lines of the Village of Elk
Grove Village, and is by law in such case made and provided.
Section 2 That the Village Clerk of this Village is hereby directed to
record a --certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate map of
said annexed territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
Section 3 That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and of .ems passage and approval according to law.
