HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 156 - 1/9/1961 - PUBLICATION OF BIDS/MUNICIPAL BLDGORDINANCE NO. 156 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR PUBLICA- TION OF BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1 That the Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village is hereby directed to publish once in the Paddock Publications an invitation for bids on municipal buildings to be constructed by said Village, said publication to appear on the 12th day of January, 1961, in said newspapers. Section 2 That the bids solicitefl from the above pub- lication sha•l be sealed and submitted to A. J. DelBianco & Associates, at their offices, architects for said Village, who shall in turn submit said sealed bids before the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village for opening on the 13th day of February, 1961, at 8:00 P.M. at the Ira L. Rupley School, in the Village of Elk Grove Village. Section 3 That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval according to law. The Board may also receive any gifts or bequests of money or other personal property or any donations to be applied for either temporary or permanent use for playground or other recreational purposes, and may make agreements with, the donors of said gifts relating to the conditions upon which the gift is madet Section 8e The Village Treasurer shall establish a separate account and fund to be designated as the Playground and Recreation Fund. All moneys received by donation, fees or moneys transferred from the general corporate fund by virtue of authority of the President and Board of Trustees shall be deposited therein to be dispensed at the written direction of the Playground and Recreation Board. All checks drawn against said fund shall be signed by the President and the Treasurer and the Village Clerk. Section 9. The Board shall have the authority to levy fees and charges which it deems appropriate in the providing of recreational services or facilities. Section 10. The Board is authorized to work jointly with all other municipal departments and political subdivisions to provide and establish, operate, conduct and maintain a supervised recreational system and operate, improve and maintain property, both real and personal, for playgrounds, recreation centers and other recreation facilities and activities, subject to the limitations herein imposed. Section 11. The Board shall make recommendations as to acquisi— tions of real estate for the purpose of carrying out the purposes heretofore set forth. Section 12. The Board shall work jointly with the President and Board of Trustees in the maintenance and operation of parks. Section 13.
