AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE WITH REFERENCE TO
STANDING AND SPECIAL COMMITTEES AND ELIGIBILITY
FOR APPOINTMENT THERETO
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1. That Article 2, Rules of Order, as to the section
headed Committees, of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove
Village for 1961 is amended to read as follows:
Committees: The following shall be the standing committees
of the Board of Trustees:
(a) Building and Zoning
(b) Finance
(c) Judiciary and Planning
(d) Parks, Recreation and Public Property
(e) Public Safety
(f) Streets and Sewers
(g) Water.
Special committees shall be created from time to time as directed by
the Board of Trustees. All standing committees shall consist of at
least -three (3) members including the chairman, who shall be a member
of the Board of Trustees. All residents of the Village of Elk Grove
Village shall be eligible to serve as members of any committee. All
special committees shall consist of at least three (3) members including
the chairman. All residents of the Village of Elk Grove Village shall
be eligible to serve as a member or chairman of any, special committee.
All committees shall be appointed by the President.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage and approval according to law.
