AN CRDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPkiiTIES CONTAINING 93.95 ACIX-S AZ BEING BOU14D dY
DEVON AV dUE ON THE NORTH ADD STATE ACME 83 014 THE WEST, Iii DU PAGE CUUNTY, TO
THE VIUAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, COOK COUNTY, IL1,UJIS
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village Clerk of the Village
of Elk Grove Village by Great Northern Development Company, a Delaware Corpora-
tion, being the sole owner of record of the hereinafter described land and terri-
tory for annexation to the Village of Elk Grove Village, and there being no
electors residing thereon; and
WHEREiiS, said land and territory is not within the corporate limits of any munici-
pality but is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village, is uninhabited; and
wALIR&1S, said petition is under oath and in all respects complies with the statutes
in such case made and provided; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village
have examined said petition, have considered the question of the annexation of
the territory described in said petition and believe it to be to the best interests
of the Village of Elk Grove Village that said territory be annexed thereto;
N(ld, TAMEFORE, BE IT OHMINE:D by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1. That lands and territory described in said petition, towit:
The west half of fractional Northwest Quarter of Section 2, Township 40
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal fleridian, also the North half
of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 2, Township
40 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, also a part of
the East half of fractional West half of Section 2, Township 40 North,
Range 11, East of the Tkird Principal Meridian, described as follows:
commencing at the Northwest corner of said East half of said fractional
West half; thence South 38 chains and 16 j links; thence East 5 links;
thence North 38 chains and 161 links; thence West 15 links to the place
of beginning, excepting therefrom such part or portion thereof as has
heretofore been dedicated to the State of Illinois, for highway purposes
by instrument dated July 12, 1937 and recorded July 14, 1937 as Doc.
081700 in Du Page County, Illinois.
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Elk Glove Village, is not embraced
thereon, is uninhabited and is unincorporated, be and the same is hereby annexed
to the Village of Elk Grove Village so that hereafter said territory shall be
included within the boundary lines of the Village of Elk Grove Village, and is
by law in such case made and provided.

Section 2. That the Village Clerk of this Village is hereby directed to record
a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate map of said annexed
territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Du Page County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.
