HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 134 - 6/13/1960 - ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDED /NEVILLEORDINANCE NO. 134 AN CRDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILIAGE ZONING ORDINANCE WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk Grove Village, sitting as a commission at a public meeting duly called and held according to law, considered the question of reclassifying from "R-1 Twenty thousand Square Foot Single Family Dwelling District" (so classified upon annexation) to "R-2 Ten Thousand Square Foot Single Family Residence District" the real estate hereinafter described, and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees having considered the reconeendation of said Zoning Board of Appeals find and believe that the highest and beat use for the real estate herein is that of "R-2 Ten Thousand Square Foot Single Family Residence District" use; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1 That an ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance to regulate and limit the height and bulk of buildings, to regulate and limit the intensity of the use of lot areas, and to regulate and deter- mine the areas of open spaces within and surrounding such buildings; to classify, regulate and restrict the location of trades and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified industrial, busi- ness, residential and other uses; to divide the entire Village of Elk Grove Village into districts for the purpose of this ordinance; to fix standards to which buildings or structures shall conform; to prohibit uses, buildings or structures incompatible with the character of such dis- tricts respectively; and to prevent additions to and alterations or re- modeling of existing buildings or structures in such a way as to avoid the restrictions and limitations lawfully imposed hereunder, and to pro- vide penalties for violation hereof," passed and approved July 80 1957, known as Ordinance No. 200 be amended by reclassifying from 11R-1 District" to "R-2 Ten Thousand Square Foot Single Family Residence District," the following real estates Lot 73 in Branigarss Forest View Homesites, a Subdivision of part of Section 28, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof recorded September 9, 1955 as Document 16356261, in Cook County, Illinois. Section 2 That said real estate as reclassified shall be subject to all limitations and conditions placed upon properties in 11R-2 Ten Thousand Square Foot Single Family Residence District" as defined in said ordinance heretofore mentioned. Section 3 Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not more then One hundred ($100.00) Dollars for each offense, and each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall consistute a separate offense. Section 4 That this ordinarme shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law PASSED this 13th day of June, 1960 APPROVED this 13th day of June, 1960 Charles A.
