HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 138 - 8/8/1960 - ANNEX/TONNE LANDMEIERORDINANCE N0. 138 AN CHDINANCE ANNEXING A FOUR ACRE TRACT BORDERED BY LANDMElER ROAD ON THE SOUTH AND THE C%kIONWEALTH EDISON HIGHLINE ON THE WEST AND NORTH, VILLAGE OWNED PROFERTY, TO THE VILLAGE OF ELIC GROVE VILLAGE WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, I111nois, by virtue of a deed dated July 8, 1960 from the Great Northern Development Co., a Delaware Corporation, to the Village of Elk Grove Village, a municipal corporation, became and is the sole owner of record of the following des- cribed land and territory, towit: That part of the West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 270 Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian lying West of the West line of the East 167.33 feet of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 27 and lying North of the center line of Landmeier Road and lying South and East of the following described lines: Beginning at a point in the East line of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter which is 436.98 feet South of the Northeast corner thereof; thence Southwesterly along a line drawn from said point to a point in the East line of the West 105 feet of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter which is 970.32 feet South of the North line of said West half of the Southwest quar- ter of the Northwest quarter and 194.34 feet North of intersection of said East line of the West 105 feet and the center line of said Landmeier Road, a distance of 780.70 feet; thence South along a line 105 feet East of and paral- lel to the West line of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the North= west quarter, a distance of 194.34 feet to the center line of Landmeier Road& situated in the County of Cook, in the State of Illinois; which property is a four -acre tract bordered by Landmeier Road on the South and the Commonwealth Edison highline on the West and North; and WHEREAS, said property is uninhabited and has no electors residing thereon; and WHEREAS, said property is not within the corporate limits of aw municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of this Village believe it to be to the best interest of the municipality that such terri- tory be annex ad thereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT LtDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1 That land and territory described as follows: That part of the West half of the Southwest quarter of the ljorthwest quarter of Section 27, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian lying West of the West line of the East 167.33 feet of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 27 and lying North of the center line of Landmeier Road and lying South and East of the following described lines: Beginning at a point in the East line of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter which is 106.98 feet South of the Northeast corner thereof; thence Southwesterly along a line drawn from said point to a point in the East line of the West 105 feet of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter which is 970.32 feet South of the North line of said West half of the South- west quarter of the Northwest quarter and 194.34 feet North of Intersection of said East line of the west 105 feet and the center line of said La:dmaier I Road, a distance of 780.70 feet; thence South along a line 105 feet East of and parallel to the West line of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter, a distance of 194.3h feet to the center line of Landmeier Road, situated in the County of Cook, in the Stats of Illinois; which territory is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village, is not embraced thereon, is uninhabited, is unincorporated, and presently owned of record by said Village of Elk Grove Village, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Elk Grove Village so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village, as is by law in such cases made and provided. Section 2 That the Village Clerk of this Village or the Acting Village Clerk of this Village is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate map of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. Section 3 That this ordinance shall be in full farce and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
