ARTICLE 2, "AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE REGULATION OF
TRAFFIC IN THE STREETS AND HIGH6AYS IN THE VILLAGE OF ELK
GROVE VILLAGE"
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, County of Cook, State of Illinois:
Section 1 That in pursuance to Article 2 of Ordinance No. 19,
"An Ordinance Pertaining to the Regulation of Traffic in the Streets and
Highways of the Village of Elk Grove Village," the following streets, roads
and highways, or portions thereof are hereby designated and declared to be
through streets:
Higgins Road east of its intersection with Arlington Heights
Road and west of its intersection with Scott Street
Laurel Street east of its intersection with Charing Cross Road
and west of its intersection with Tonne Road
Tonne Road south of its intersection with Landmeier Road and
north of its intersection with Devon Avenue, except such
paved portions of Tonne Road which lie within the median
strip and which are opposite Laurel Street, East Elk Grove
Boulevard, Clearmount Drive, and Walnut Lane
Devon Avenue at its intersection with Tonne Road
Arlington Heights Road south of its intersection with Higgins
Road for a distance of 300 feet and east of the center line
thereof
Forest Lane, Ridgewood Road and Wildwood Road south of their
intersection with Higgins Road and north of their inter-
section with Oakton Road
Oakton RoAd west of its intersection with Arlington Heights
Road and east to a point including its intersection with
Wildwood Road
Landmefer Road at its intersection with Tonne Road
Section 2 That every driver of a vehicle traversing any street,
road and driveway intersecting with any through street aforementioned shall
bring his vehicle to a full stop prior to entering upon said through street
within 10 feet of said intersection unless a "go" signal is given at such
intersection by a traffic officer or traffic signal. Appropriate stop
signs JA accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois shall be in-
stalled and maintained at said intersections.
Section 3. In pursuance to Article 2 of Ordinance No. 19, an

of the Village of Elk Grove Village, the following streets, roads and
highways, or portions thereof are hereby designated and declared to be one-
way streets:
The easterly two traffic lanes of Tonne Road are hereby
designated as a one-way street for northbound traffic
only, between Landmeier Road on the north and Devon Ave-
nue on the south.
The westerly two traffic lanes of Tonne Road are hereby
designated as a one-way street for southbound traffic
only, between Landmeier Road on the north and Devon Ave-
nue on the south.
Appropriate signs, in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois,
shall be installed and maintained, designating said streets as one-way
streets.
Section 4 It shall be unlawful for any person, or persons, to
operate any vehicle on any street designated by the Board of Trustees as
a one-way street in any direction other than the direction indicated.
Section 5 PENALTY: Any person, firm or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not less than One
($11.00) Dollar or more than One Hundred (5y1OO) Dollars for each violation.
Section 6 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon
its passage, approval and publication according to law.
